Week One

Module One
In this module, you will be introduced to the course, and Samar who is working as a self- taught UX Researcher at Google will share her story with you, and after Jason, the instructor of the course will also introduce himself.
Module Two
In this module, you will understand the UX research process, and then read language and communication in UX research.
Module Three
In this module, you will be taught the first part of UX research plan, you will also get to know the seven elements of a research plan, then they will give you a template to plan your own UX research study. After that you will start building a research plan: project background, research goals, and research questions, then you will continue building a research plan by learning KPIs and finally, read more about KPIs.
Module Four
In this module, you will continue building a research plan learning the methodology of research and you will read more about methodology, you will also continue building a research plan by choosing some participants for your research. and then read more on recruiting a diverse participant pool. After you will consider assistive technology for participants with disabilities and finish building a research plan by scripting your research, and finally will give an example of UX research plans they did.

Module Five
In this module, they will teach you how t make privacy a part of UX practices and understand privacy issues, and then Vanessa will teach you Ethics, privacy, and data in the real world. And finally, you will say goodbye to this week and submit your assignment (Build a research plan for your portfolio project)
Week Two

Module One
In this module, you will be introduced to the week, then you will learn and conduct moderated and unmoderated usability studies, and you will optionally read more about usability studies and finally explore the advantages and disadvantages of usability studies.
Module Two
In this module, you will watch an unmoderated usability study in action.
Module Three
In this module, you will explore usability study best practices before and after the study and then you will read more about the best practices of usability study. And finally Deana will share her story as a UX researcher.
Module Four
In this module, you will identify biases when interviewing usability study participants and then you will learn how to reduce bias in interviews and finally read more about reducing bias in interviews
Module Five
In this module, they will introduce you to note-taking methods during usability studies, then you will use a spreadsheet to take notes, and finally, Chikezie will share his journey to UX with you and you will say goodbye to this week and submit your assignment (Conduct a usability study for your portfolio project)
Week Three

Module One
In this module, you will make insights from your observation, and Jason will tell you the story of how the Google Maps team expanded its understanding of how people get around in countries like India and Indonesia. Then they will teach you how to turn your observations from the research into actionable insights.
Module Two
In this module, you will explore how to gather, organize and reflect on data, then you will learn more about creating affinity diagrams.
Module Three
In this module Micheal from course one will come back teach you patterns and themes in research data, then Jason will teach you the qualities of strong insights. And Finally Utkarsh will share with you how he develops insights from usability studies and you will say goodbye to this week and submit your assignment (Turn observations into insights for your portfolio project)
Week Four
💡 This week has 3 (Three) modules. This week you will learn and understand Research sharing methods. Check out the modules for more.
Module One
In this module, you will organize insights for sharing and then choose a format for sharing insights. After that, you will learn tips for creating a strong presentation and then create a strong presentation
Module Two
In this module, Jason will give you presentation tips, and you will learn how to overcome stage fright, and then Heather will share with you how she delivers research insights. And after all that you will read about tips for giving an effective presentation and examples of great public speakers
Module Three
In this module, you will modify low-fidelity designs based on insights and learn how to make research-based design changes. And finally, you will say goodbye to this week and submit your assignment (Update your portfolio project research presentation).
And that is it, you now have completed the fourth course of the specialization.
