Course Six – Responsive Web Design in Adobe XD

👇 This course is the sixth course and it is called Responsive Web Design in Adobe XD, and it has four peer-graded assignments. It contains six weeks.

During this course, you will take all the principles and other things you studied during other courses into practice, and you will make hi-fi designs in Adobe XD. For more about this course, check out the weeks. If you have a question check out the FAQs.

Week One

💡 This week has 5 (five) modules and three of them are optional and have no peer-graded assignment. Check out the modules for more.

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the course, you will also be given an optional test to test your knowledge of prior concepts. And Jennifer will share some design tools with you.

Module Two

In this module, they will introduce you to XD, then they will teach you responsive websites are, and you will start a project in Adobe XD.

Module Three

In this module, you will optionally empathize with users and understand pain points, create empathy maps, and create personas. Simply, you will apply all your research into your web design.

Tip: Be careful and follow the instructions even if they are optional. The process you follow during this course is the one you will follow anytime you are making products.

Module Four

In this module, you will optionally create user stories and build user journey maps.

Module Five

In this module, you will develop a problem statement and learn more about it. And that is it, you have finished the week.

Week Two

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the week, you will conduct an optional competitive audit

Module Two

In this module, you will come ideas using HMW or Crazy Eights for your website.

Module Three

In this module, you will plan IA for your website and explore common website structures and then explore sitemaps and build a sitemap for your website

Week Three

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the week, and then you will explore common layouts for website home pages, and then understand the basics of wireframes.

Module Two

In this module, you will plot a responsive layout and then adjust page layouts based on screen size. And after that you will learn common elements used in responsive design

Module Three

In this module, you will transform from paper to digital wireframes, and then create digital wireframes in Adobe XD, you will also create optional digital wireframes in Figma, after that you will create wireframes for additional screen sizes in Adobe XD, and finally create optional wireframes for additional screen sizes in Figma

Module Four

In this module, you will refine wireframes to enhance accessibility and then evaluate wireframes using Gestalt Principles and say good-bye to this week and submit your assignment (Refine wireframes to meet standards).

Week Four

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the week, and then you will understand and create low-fidelity prototypes in XD, you will also create an optional low-fidelity prototype in Figma.

Module Two

In this module, you will plan UX research, conduct a usability study and reduce bias in a usability study and after that you will analyze and synthesize research results

Module Three

In this module, you will iterate on low-fidelity designs based on research findings and you will say goodbye to this week and submit your assignment (Update low-fidelity prototype based on usability study insights).

Week Five

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the week, and you will begin to design mockups. You will also review foundational elements of visual design and then learn how to review how to arrange elements in mockups finally you will review visual design principles to apply them to your design.

Module Two

In this module, you will work with design systems and then use external design systems in Adobe XD and then read more about it.

Module Three

In this module, you will start creating mockups for a website homepage in Adobe XD, and then create optional website mockups in Figma, you will also add images and logos to mockups in Adobe XD and then use repeat grids to design in Adobe XD

Module Four

In this module, you will create mockups for a mobile website in Adobe XD and then create optional mockups for a mobile website in Figma

Module Five

In this module, you will create a high-fidelity prototype in Adobe XD, then optionally test your hi-fi. and then annotate prototypes for web accessibility finally you will read more and say goodbye to this week and submit your assignment (Create a high-fidelity prototype for a website).

Week Six

Module One

In this module, you will learn how to collaborate with engineering teams, and Handoff design specs in Adobe XD.

Module Two

In this module, you will add a project to your portfolio.

Module Three

In this optional module, you will understand common jobs for UX designers and Dave, the instructor of the course will share his journey to UX. You will also Explore the types of companies that UX designers work at. And Kenny will teach you Perseverance. You will also identify where to apply for UX design jobs and uncover UX design job opportunities. And finally you will learn how to scan job descriptions for key words

Module Four

In this optional module, you will understand UX design resumes, and they will share with you some real UX design resumes. And after that Dane will give you his advice for UX design resumes. Also, Tim will tell you recruiter’s advice for UX design resumes. And you will update your resume based. And Finally, you will answer the questions of the weekly test (Document design work and search for jobs). There are peer no peer-graded assignments this week.
