Built wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes

πŸ‘‡ This is the third course in the program and it is called Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes. It has 3 (three) peer-graded assignments and it is also the only course that contains three weeks.

During this course, you will take all the principles and other things you studied during other courses into practice, and you will make hi-fi designs. For more about this course, check out the weeks. If you have a question check out the FAQs.

Week One

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the course, you will also be given an optional test to test your knowledge of prior concepts. And Karen who is the course instructor, will share path to UX design.

Module Two

In this module, you will use research to inform ideation, and then optionally learn more about how research informs ideation. You will also revisit problem statements and finally Craig will share with you how research informs ideation in the real world.

Module Three

In this module, you will create goal statements and read more about goal statements

Module Four

In this module, you will be introduced to user flows, then you will outline a user flow

Module Five

In this module, you will learn types of storyboarding and then you will be storyboarding user flows.

Module Seven

In this module, they will introduce you to wireframes, then you will start drawing and after that, you will understand the benefits of wireframing. And finally, you will say goodbye to this week and submit your assignment (Create storyboards for your portfolio project)

Week Two

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the week, and you will learn the basics of information architecture (IA), an important step in wireframing stage of design. Then you will start designing the information architecture of apps.

Tip: Practice doing AI before making any design.

Module Two

In this module, you will learn and create paper wireframes

Module Three

In this module, you will transform from paper to digital wireframes and then you will be introduced to Figma, the tool you will spend most of your time in the coming years. You will also create a Figma account and then Figma team will teach you how to create digital wireframes in Figma for an app and finally, Erika will share with you the tools of the trade.

Module Four

In this module, you will use Gestalt Principles when creating wireframes and read more about them. And finally, you will say goodbye to this week and submit your assignment (Create digital wireframes for your portfolio project)

Module One

In this module, you will learn about low-fidelity prototypes, and then create a paper prototype and creative ways to make paper prototypes. You will also use Marvel’s Prototyping on paper (POP)

Module Two

In this module, Figma team will teach you how to build low-fidelity prototypes in Figma and you will access Figma prototypes on mobile devices

Module Three

In this module, you will Recognize implicit bias in the design, and Ayan will share more bias in UX design work. Then you will identify deceptive patterns in UX design and you will avoid deceptive patterns and also explore the effects of designs that deceive, after all that, you will understand the attention economy and your impact as a UX designer and finally, you will learn more about ethical design and you will say good-bye to this course and submit your assignment (Build a low-fidelity prototype for your portfolio project).

And that is it, you now have completed the third course of the specialization
