πŸ‘‡ This course is the seventh course and it is called Design a User Experience for Social Good and Prepare for Jobs, and it has 3 (three) peer-graded assignments. It contains six weeks.

Week One

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the course, you will what design for social good means. You will also choose your third portfolio project prompt and Paolo the instructor of the course will tell your his journey to UX

Module Two

In this module, they will teach what designing for progressive enhancement and graceful degradation and then Paolo will share with you Google’s focus on the user. Then you will learn which device will design first and why. After that, you will start designing across devices with the 4 Cs and finally you will Differentiate between dedicated mobile apps and responsive web apps.

Module Three

In this module, you will start the actual design with empathize phase. Then you will Develop personas.

Module Four

In this module, you will build user stories and then create user journey maps

Module Five

In this module, you will continue the design process and start the define stage. You will also Define problem statements

Module Six

In this module, you will begin the ideate phase, and conduct a competitive audit while you are following the UX design process across devices. After that, you will ideate with Crazy Eights and HMWs and finally answer the questions of the weekly challenge (Design across devices)

Week Two

πŸ’‘ This week has 4 (four) modules. This week is all about applying visual design principles to your mockups. Check out the modules for more.

Module One

In this module, you will kick off with creating paper wireframes.

Module Two

In this module, you will start with creating digital wireframes.

Module Three

In this module, you will build lo-fi prototypes and then share them.

Module Four

In this module, you will plan a usability study, conduct a usability study and analyze and synthesize research results. And after that, you will learn the importance of testing in the real world and submit your weekly assignment (Synthesize research results and modify designs)

Week Three

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the week and create mockups. Then you will Review foundational elements of visual design, arrange elements in mockups and review visual design principles. After that, you will document a design system.

Module Two

In this module, you will build hi-fi prototypes.

Module Three

In this final module, you will plan and conduct a usability study for a hi-fi prototype and then answer the questions of the weekly challenge.

Week Four

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the week and you will Design for different use cases.

Module Two

In this module, they will teach you the importance of information architecture and you will build sitemaps.

Module Three

In this module, you will generate ideas for your web, and understand common website layouts.

Module Four

In this module, you will wireframes for different screens.

Module Five

In this module, you will Build and test low-fidelity prototype for a responsive website.

Module Six

In this module, you will design mockups and build hi-fi prototypes for a responsive website. You will also test and iterate on high-fidelity designs optionally.

Module Seven

In this module, you will add a case study to your UX portfolio, and learn more about case studies. and finally submit your weekly assignment (Add a case study to your UX portfolio)

Week Five

Module One

In this module, they will welcome you to the week and UX design portfolios.

Module Two

In this module, you will learn best practices for UX design portfolio, plan for your portfolio website, and learn some website builders

Module Three

In this module, you will Explore personal brands, Use writing best practices in a portfolio, Create or update social media profiles and then Get involved in UX design communities.

Module Four

In this module, you will learn how to Network and find a mentor and how to Overcome impostor syndrome, and then Catherine (VP of UX Design at Google) will share with you how to Conquer impostor syndrome. One my fav videos. and Finally will submit your weekly assignment. (Build a professional presence)

Week Six

Module One

In this module, you will be introduced to the week and then will be taught how to prepare a UX portfolio for job applications.

Module Two

In this module, they will teach you to get prepared for interviews, Conduct pre-interview research, Get to know the interviewers and Build rapport with interviewers

Module Three

In this module, you will Use strategies to answer interview questions and Jay, a hiring manager, will share with you some Interview tips from a hiring manager.

Module Four

In this module, you will Develop an elevator pitch and Kartik will give you tips from an entry-level designer.

Module Five

In this module, you will how to present a portfolio during interviews, and then you will understand whiteboard interviews and you will warmup the interview preparation.

Module Six

In this final module, you will be introduced to freelancing. Jennifer will share with you her journey as a freelance UX designer. You will also create a business plan and after all that you will learn how to find clients as a freelance UX designer and submit your last assignment.
